Deuteronomy 25:9
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੋਂ ਜੁੱਤੀ ਲਾਹ ਦੇਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਥੁੱਕ ਦੇਵੇ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਇਹ ਸਲੂਕ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ!’

“ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸਦੈਵ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਇੰਝ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸੰਮਾਨ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਿਰਸੱਕਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਨਿੰਦਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਸ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
