Deuteronomy 18:7
ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਲੇਵੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਲੇਵੀ ਭਰਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਸੇਵਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਨ।

| the Levites | הַלְוִיִּ֔ם | halwiyyim | hahl-vee-YEEM |
| stand which do, | הָעֹֽמְדִ֥ים | hāʿōmĕdîm | ha-oh-meh-DEEM |
| there | שָׁ֖ם | šām | shahm |
| before | לִפְנֵ֥י | lipnê | leef-NAY |
