“ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ, ‘ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ: ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਰੂਹ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ,

“ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਹਰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਰ ਜਾ ਸੱਕੋਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੋਂਗੇ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ।
Deuteronomy 11:22

Psalm 119:4
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਸਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੰਨਣ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ।
