Daniel 8:23
“ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਓੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਹਾਦੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਾਲਮ ਰਾਜਾ ਆਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਚਲਾਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਉਦੋਂ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਓੱਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਾਪੀ ਲੋਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

| countenance, | עַז | ʿaz | az |
| understanding and | פָּנִ֖ים | pānîm | pa-NEEM |
| dark sentences, | וּמֵבִ֥ין | ûmēbîn | oo-may-VEEN |
| shall stand up. | חִידֽוֹת׃ | ḥîdôt | hee-DOTE |
