Acts 13:8
ਪਰ ਇਲਮਾਸ ਜਾਦੂਗਰ (ਇਲਮਾਸ ਬਰਯੇਸੂਮ ਦਾ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ। ਇਲਮਾਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਟਾਪੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਿਰਦੇ-ਫ਼ਿਰਦੇ ਪਾਫ਼ੁਸ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਪਾਫ਼ੁਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇ ਜੋ ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸੀ ਬਰਯੇਸੂਸ। ਉਹ ਝੂਠਾ ਨਬੀ ਸੀ।

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਤੇਜ਼ ਰਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਧਦੀ ਗਈ। ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਜਾਜਕ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਮੱਤ ਦੇ ਮੰਨਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ।

Jeremiah 29:24
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਵੀਂ। ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ ਨਹਲਾਮ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੈ।

ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਗਰਦਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੂਲਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਤਾਂ ਨਬੀ ਹਨਨਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਜੂਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਗਰਦਨ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਹਨਨਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਜੂਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਝੂਠਾ ਨਬੀ ਹਨਨਯਾਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੇ ਚੌਬੇ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ, ਗਿਬਓਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਬੀ ਹਨਨਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਾਜਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ,

ਤਦ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਮੀਕਾਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੀਕਾਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਤੇ ਥਪੜ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਆਤਮੇ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ?”

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਆਣਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਦੂਗਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਚੁਸਤੀਆਂ ਵਰਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਵਰਗੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
