ਇਹ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਹਨ। ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਸ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅਨਾਬੋਬ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੈ।

ਅਨਾਬੋਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਉਂਤਾ ਬਣਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗੇ।” ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਨਾਬੋਬ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
