ਸ਼ਿਮਈ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ, ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ! ਮੇਰੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਸੀ।

2 Corinthians 5:19
ਭਾਵ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੁਰਮੀ ਗੁਨਾਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਦਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਸ਼ਿਮਈ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪਦਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਤਦ ਬਹੁਰੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ। ਉੱਥੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਗੇਰਾ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਿਮਈ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦੇ ਬੋਲ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇੰਝ ਬਾਰ-ਬਾਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਤਦ ਤਾਮਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਗੇ ਭਰਾ ਅਬਸ਼ਾਲੋਮ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਅਮਨੋਨ ਨਾਲ ਖੇਹ ਖਾਧੀ ਹੈ? ਕੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਧੋਖਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ? ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਭੈਣ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਜਾ! ਅਮਨੋਨ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਰਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਨਾ ਰੱਖ। ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਨਾ ਹੋ।” ਤਦ ਤਾਮਾਰ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਅਬਸ਼ਾਲੋਮ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ।
1 Samuel 26:21
ਤਦ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਥੋਂ ਪਾਪ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਦਾਊਦ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਜਾ। ਅੱਜ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਤੇਰੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਰਲੱਭ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਹੋਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਮੂਰੱਖਤਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਭੁੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।”
1 Samuel 25:25
ਆਦਮੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭੇਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀ। ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਉਸੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾ ਦੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੀ ‘ਮੂਰੱਖ’ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਵਾਸਤਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਮੂਰਖ ਹੀ ਹੈ।
Exodus 10:16
ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੂਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ। ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
