ਫ਼ਿਰ ਯੋਆਬ ਨੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਰੱਬਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਿਆ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਉੱਪਰ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਬਥ-ਸ਼ਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਬਸੰਤ ਦੀ ਰੁੱਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਲੋਕ ਲੜਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਹਨ, ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਯੋਆਬ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਬਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ, ਪਰ ਦਾਊਦ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ।
Ezekiel 21:20
ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਕਿਸ ਰਸਤੇ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਇਹ ਸੜਕ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਰੱਬਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਦੂਸਰੀ ਸੜਕ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਬੰਦ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ!
