ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇੱਕ ਨਬੀ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਬੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਰੱਖਿਆ।
Ezekiel 2:5

ਫ਼ਿਰ ਨਅਮਾਨ ਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਟੋਲੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੋਲ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਮੁੜ ਆਏ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖਲੋ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਵੇਖ! ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਸਿਵਾਏ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਭੇਂਟ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕਰ।”
2 Kings 5:7
ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਚਿੱਠੀ ਪੜ੍ਹੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਫ਼ਾੜ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ? ਨਹੀਂ! ਮੇਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਉੱਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਭਲਾ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਕੋਹੜੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਦੇ ਕੋੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਭਲਾ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ? ਜ਼ਰਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੋਚੋ ਤਾਂ ਪਤਾ ਚੱਲੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਉਸਦੀ ਚਾਲ ਹੈ। ਇਸਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਅਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਲੜਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।”

ਇਸ ਕੁੜੀ ਨੇ ਨਅਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਕਾਸ਼ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ (ਨਅਮਾਨ) ਉਸ ਨਬੀ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜੋ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ (ਆਲੀਸ਼ਾ) ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਨਬੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।”

ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਜਦ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਅਕਰੋਨ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਬਆਲ-ਜ਼ਬੂਲ ਕੋਲ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਉਂ ਭੇਜਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਿਸ ਪਲੰਘ ਉੱਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੈਂ, ਉਸਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਤਰੇਂਗਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਮਰੇਂਗਾ?’”

ਤਾਂ ਤਕਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ, “ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅਬਰਾਹਮ, ਇਸਹਾਕ ਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ। ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਚਨ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

Romans 11:13
ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਸਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਰਸੂਲ ਹਾਂ, ਸੋ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋ ਸੱਕੇ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
