ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੇ ਸੋਟੀ ਰਖੀ ਪਰ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੀ ਨਾ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਰਤ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਵਾਪਸ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ, “ਬੱਚਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਗਿਆ।”

Ezekiel 14:3
“ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਏ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਲੈਣੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਸ ਹਾਲੇ ਤੀਕ ਗੰਦੇ ਬੁੱਤ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਵਾਏ। ਉਹ ਹਾਲੇ ਤੀਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਸਲਾਹ ਲਈ ਕਿਉਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ? ਕੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ? ਨਹੀਂ!
Job 14:12
ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਆਦਮੀ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਲੇਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੁੜਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਉੱਠਦਾ। ਇੱਕ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਉੱਠਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਨਹੀਂ, ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਨੀਂਦ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਉੱਠਣਗੇ।

1 Samuel 28:6
