ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦਾ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ 18 ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਨਹੁਸ਼ਤਾ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਅਲਨਾਥਾਨ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਸੀ।
