2 Kings 22:17
ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਕੇ ਉਨਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੁੱਤ ਬਣਾਏ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਰੋਪ ਦਰਸਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਬੁਝਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸੱਕੇਗੀ।’

| that | לְמַ֙עַן֙ | lĕmaʿan | leh-MA-AN |
| anger to me provoke might they | הַכְעִיסֵ֔נִי | hakʿîsēnî | hahk-ee-SAY-nee |
| all with | בְּכֹ֖ל | bĕkōl | beh-HOLE |
| the works | מַֽעֲשֵׂ֣ה | maʿăśē | ma-uh-SAY |
| hands; their of | יְדֵיהֶ֑ם | yĕdêhem | yeh-day-HEM |
| therefore my wrath | וְנִצְּתָ֧ה | wĕniṣṣĕtâ | veh-nee-tseh-TA |
| kindled be shall | חֲמָתִ֛י | ḥămātî | huh-ma-TEE |
| against this | בַּמָּק֥וֹם | bammāqôm | ba-ma-KOME |
| place, | הַזֶּ֖ה | hazze | ha-ZEH |
| and shall not | וְלֹ֥א | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| be quenched. | תִכְבֶּֽה׃ | tikbe | teek-BEH |
