ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਾਜ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਅੱਠਾਂ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ 31ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਯਦੀਦਾਹ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਬਾਸਕਥੀ ਤੋਂ ਅਦਾਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਸੀ।
