ਫ਼ਿਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ, ਤੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੈਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਇਹ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਓਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੱਪ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲੇ ਸੱਪ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਨਵਾਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਤੇਜ਼ ਫ਼ਨੀਅਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

ਇਹ ਉਦੋਂ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਹ ਗਦੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਾਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਮਊਨੀਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅੱਜ ਤਾਈਂ, ਓੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਊਨੀਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਸਦਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਲਈ ਚਰਾਂਦਾਂ ਸਨ।

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਬੁਰਜ ਬਣਵਾਏ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਖੂਹ ਪੁਟਵਾਏ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਪਹਾੜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਜਾਊ ਜ਼ਮੀਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਸੀ। ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਾਮੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਖੇਤੀ-ਬਾੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।
Isaiah 5:2
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਖੇਤ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਹ ਕੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੇਲਾਂ ਓੱਥੇ ਬੀਜੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਖੇਤ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਮੁਨਾਰਾ ਉਸਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਚੁਬੱਚਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਸ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇੱਥੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਪਰ ਇੱਥੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਖਰਾਬ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਸਨ।
