ਅਮਸਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਯਹੋਆਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਜੰਗ ਦੀ ਖਾਹਿਸ਼ ਤਦ ਅਮਸਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਹੋਆਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਆਹਾਜ਼, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯੇਹੂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕੋਲ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕ ਭੇਜੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਆਓ, ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਆਮ੍ਹਣੇ-ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੋਕੇ ਲੜੀਏ।”

ਪਰ ਅਮਸਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਆਸ਼ ਦੀ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਵੱਲ ਕੋਈ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤਦ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਹੋਆਸ਼ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਅਮਸਯਾਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਤ-ਸ਼ਮਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ।
