ਬਆਲ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਥੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਲੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਜ ਦਿਆਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਰਚਿਤ ਲੱਕੜ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤ ਸਨ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਰਹੇ।
