2 Corinthians 11:17
ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੇਖੀ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਭਰੋਸੇਮੰਦ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਵੇਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਬੋਲ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਮੂਰਖ ਵਾਂਗ ਸ਼ੇਖੀ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

ਜੇ ਮਕਦੂਨਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਚਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਡਾ ਅਪਮਾਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਵਾਂਗੇ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਇੰਨੇ ਭਰੋਸੇਮੰਦ ਸਾਂ। ਆਖਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ।

ਮੈਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਥੋੜੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਵੱਖ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਆਂ। ਇਹ ਕੋਈ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।

ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਲਿਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵਿਆਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਾਇ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਸੀ।

ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਸ਼ੇਖੀ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੇਖੀ ਮਾਰਾਂਗਾ।
