ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਦਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚਲੇ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਬੈਤ-ਸ਼ਮਸ਼, ਅਯਾਲੋਨ, ਗਦੇਰੋਥ, ਸੋਕੋ, ਤਿਮਨਾਹ, ਗਿਮਜ਼ੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
