ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਸਤਤਾਂ ਗਾਉਣ ਲੱਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ, ਮੋਆਬੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਈਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਘਾਤ ਲਗਾ ਲਈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ਹਾਰ ਗਈਆਂ।
