ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਸੂਰਜ ਛਿਪਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ-ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਉੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਸਮਸੂਨ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਮਿਠਾ ਕੀ ਹੈ? ਸ਼ੇਰ ਨਾਲੋ ਤਕੜਾ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ?” ਤਾਂ ਸਮਸੂਨ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੱਲ ਨਾ ਵਾਹਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਬੁਝਾਰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਬੁੱਝ ਸੱਕਦੇ!”
Deuteronomy 28:49

2 Samuel 23:20
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਯਾਦਾ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਨਾਯਾਹ, ਕਬਸਏਲ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੋਤਰਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਜੁਆਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਫ਼ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਟੋਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ। ਬਨਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਬੜੀ ਬਹਾਦੁਰੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ।
2 Samuel 2:18
ਅਬਨੇਰ ਦਾ ਅਸਾਹੇਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਉੱਥੇ ਸਰੂਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਆਬ, ਅਬੀਸ਼ਈ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਾਹੇਲ ਵੀ ਸਨ। ਅਸਾਹੇਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਧੀਆ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਹਿਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਤੇਜ਼ ਦੌੜਾਕ ਸੀ।
1 Samuel 31:1
ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ। ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਗਿਲਬੋਆ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ।
1 Samuel 20:2
ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਉ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ। ਇਹ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਗੱਲ ਛੋਟੀ ਸੀ ਜਾਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਦੱਸੇ। ਨਹੀਂ! ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।”
1 Samuel 18:1
ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਗੂੜ੍ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਹਟਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਓਨਾ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ।
