ਅਗਲੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਦ ਅਸ਼ਦੋਦੀ ਉੱਠੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਦਾਗੋਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਪਰਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਡਿੱਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਅਸ਼ਦੋਦ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਗੋਨ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਉਸਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
