ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਹਲਕਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਨ ਲਈ ਭੇਜੇ। ਪਰ ਜਿਸ ਵਕਤ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਡੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਏ ਉੱਥੇ ਕੁਝ ਨਬੀ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਉਸ ਟੋਲੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਉੱਥੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ। ਤਦ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦੇ ਹਲਕਾਰਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕ ਬੋਲਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ।

ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਹਲਕਾਰੇ ਭੇਜੇ ਕਿ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾਕੇ ਲੈ ਆਉ। ਪਰ ਮੀਕਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਦਾਊਦ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਹੈ।”

ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਣ ਲਈ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਹਲਕਾਰੇ ਭੇਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਮੀਕਲ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਜਾ! ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਚਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਨੱਸ ਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਕੱਲ ਤੱਕ ਤੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ।”

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਬੱਦਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਉਤਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਆਤਮਾ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹੀ ਆਤਮਾ 70 ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਆਤਮਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਉਤਰਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਪਰ ਇਹੀ ਇੱਕ ਮੌਕਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
