ਇਉਂ ਜ਼ਿਮਰੀ ਨੇ ਬਆਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਯੇਹੂ ਨਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਬਆਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਬਆਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਬਾਟ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।

ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਯੇਹੂ ਨਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਬਆਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸੀ। ਬਆਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਸੀ। ਬਆਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਬਆਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਸ ਬਚਨ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਮਿੱਤਈ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਯੂਨਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਗਥ ਹੇਫ਼ਰ ਦਾ ਸੀ, ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਹੀ ਹੱਦ ਨੂੰ ਹਮਾਥ ਦੇ ਲਾਂਘੇ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਰਾਬਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੀਕ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਪਹੁੰਚਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
