ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਵੀ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਟਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਅਲਗ-ਅਲਗ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਇੰਝ ਹੀ ਜਾਜਕ ਚੁਣਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਤੇ ਉਹ ਜਾਜਕ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਦੇ। ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੀ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਨਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ।

Psalm 78:34

Judges 17:12

ਜਦੋਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤੰਬੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਤੇ ਲਿਜਾਣਾ ਪਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਲੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹੀ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਭਾਲ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਲੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਭਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
Exodus 28:41
ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਸਤਰ ਪਹਿਨਾਓ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਖਾਸ ਤੇਲ ਦਾ ਛਿੜਕਾਉ ਕਰੋ। ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
