ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਸ਼ਅਲਤੀਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜ਼ਰੁੱਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਸਾਦਾਕ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ:

ਇਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਉਸਾਰਨ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ‘ਦਾਰਾ’ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨਕਾਲ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ ਨਬੀ ਹੱਜਈ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਸ਼ਅਲਤੀਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜ਼ਰੁੱਬਾਬਲ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਸਾਦਾਕ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਉੱਚ ਜਾਜਕ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੂਆ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਨਵੇਂ ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤਦ ਸ਼ਅਲਤੀਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜ਼ਰੁੱਬਾਬਲ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਸਾਦਾਕ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਪਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਨਬੀ ਹੱਜਈ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਿਆ, ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਭੈ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਈ।

Haggai 2:4
ਪਰ ਹੁਣ, ਜ਼ਰੁੱਬਾਬਲ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਨਾ ਹਾਰ। ਪਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਯਹੋਸਾਦਾਕ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਨਾ ਹਾਰ! ਇਸ ਕੌਮ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕੋ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਨਾ ਹਾਰੋ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਇਉਂ ਆਖਿਆ। ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਂ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ।”

Zechariah 4:6
ਉਸ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਰੁੱਬਾਬਲ ਲਈ ਬਚਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ, ‘ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਮਦਦ ਤੇਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਲ ਜਾਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੇਗਾ।’ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਆਖੇ।

Matthew 1:12
ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਬੀਲੋਨ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ: ਯਕਾਨਯਾਹ ਸ਼ਅਲਤੀਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ਅਲਤੀਏਲ ਜ਼ਰੁੱਬਾਬਲ ਦਾ ਦਾਦਾ ਸੀ।
