ଯିହୁଦା ରେ ଯୋଶିୟଯ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ଶାସନ କାଳ ରେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେତେ କହିଲେ, ବିପଥଗାମିନୀ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଯାହା କରିଅଛ, ତାହା କ'ଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦେଖିଅଛ ? ସେ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଉଚ୍ଚ ପର୍ବତ ଉପ ରେ ଓ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ସବୁଜ ବୃକ୍ଷ ତଳେ ୟାଇ ବ୍ଯଭିଚାର କରିଅଛି।

ତଥାପି ମୁଁ ଆଗ ରେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଦବୋପାଇଁ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଥିଲି, ସହେି ଦେଶକୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଆଣିଲି। ସେତବେେଳେ ସମାନେେ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଉଚ୍ଚପର୍ବତ ଓ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଗହଳିଆ ବୃକ୍ଷ ଦେଖି ସମାନଙ୍କେର ବଳିଦାନ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ବଳିଦାନ ଦ୍ବାରା ମାେତେ ବିରକ୍ତ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ନିଜର ସୁଗନ୍ଧି ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯ ରଖିଲେ ଓ ନିଜ ନିଜର ପଯେ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯ ଢ଼ାଳିଲେ।

ଯେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ରାସ୍ତା ମୁଣ୍ଡ ରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଅଛ ଓ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଛକରେ ଆପଣା ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀ ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଅଛ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରକୃତ ରେ ଜଣେ ବେଶ୍ଯା ପରି ନୁହଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବ୍ଯଭିଚାରିଣୀ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ରେ ଲିପ୍ତ ହେଲ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଦ୍ରା ନଲେ ନାହିଁ।

ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭ କଥା ଶୁଣିଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସମାନେେ ସେଥିପ୍ରତି ଧ୍ଯାନ ଦେଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସମାନେେ ଅବାଧ୍ଯ ହାଇେ ନିଜ ନିଜ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ରେ ଚାଳିତ ହେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ନିଜର ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ ଯୋଗୁଁ ପଶ୍ଚାତବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହେଲେ, ଅଗ୍ରଗାମୀ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ।

ଆଉ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେତେ କହିଲେ, ବିପଥଗାମିନୀ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ବିଶ୍ବାସଘାତିନୀ ଯିହୁଦା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ନିଜକୁ ଅଧିକ ଧାର୍ମିକା ଦଖାଇେଅଛି।

ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଦେଖିଲୁ ବିପଥଗାମିନୀ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ବ୍ଯଭିଚାର କରିବା ହତେୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାକୁ ଛାଡ଼ପତ୍ର ଦେଲେ ହେଁ, ତାହା ବିଶ୍ବାସଘାତିନୀ ଭଉଣୀ ଯିହୁଦା ଭୟ କଲା ନାହିଁ। ସେ ମଧ୍ଯ ୟାଇ ବ୍ଯଭିଚାର କଲା।
ଯିରିମିୟ 2:19
ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିଜର ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଶାସ୍ତି ଦବେ। ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିପଥଗାମୀତ୍ବ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦବେ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଉତ୍ତମ ରୂପେ ବିବଚେନା କର। ତାହା ହେଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବୁଝିବ ଯେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ଯାଗ କରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଅପରାଧ କରିଛ। ଆମ୍ଭ ବିଷଯକ ଭୟ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମଧିଅରେ ନ ଥିବାରୁ ଯାହା ମନ୍ଦ ଓ ତିକ୍ତ ବିଷଯ ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜ୍ଞାତ ହେଉ ନାହଁ। ମାରେ ପ୍ରଭୁ ସୈନ୍ଯାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହା କହନ୍ତି।
ଯିଶାଇୟ 57:7
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଉଚ୍ଚ ଓ ଉନ୍ନତ ପର୍ବତ ଉପ ରେ ନିଜର ଶୟ୍ଯା ପାତିଅଛ ଓ ସେସ୍ଥାନକୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ବଳିଦାନ କରିବାକୁ ୟାଇଅଛ।
ଦିତୀୟ ରାଜାବଳୀ 17:7
ଏସବୁ ଘଟିବାର କାରଣ ହେଲା ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ପାପକର୍ମ କରିଥିଲେ। ଯେଉଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ମିଶରରୁ ଅଣାଇ ଥିଲେ ଓ ମିଶରର ରାଜା ଫାରୋଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିଥିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପୂଜା ନ କରି ଅନ୍ୟ ଦବେତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୂଜା କଲେ।

ଆଉ ତା'ର ଭଗିନୀ ଏସବୁ ଦେଖି ମଧ୍ଯ ବେଶ୍ଯାବୃତ୍ତି ରେ ଓ ପ୍ ରମାେଶକ୍ତି ରେ ତାହା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଅଧିକ ଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟା ହେଲା। ତା'ର ଭଗିନୀର ବ୍ଯଭିଚାରିତାଠାରୁ ସେ ଅଧିକ ବ୍ଯଭିଚାରିଣୀ ହେଲା।
