ସହେି ଲୋକମାନେ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକ ହିଲ୍କିଯଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ ଓ ଲୋକମାନେ ମନ୍ଦିର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦଇେଥିବା ଟଙ୍କା ତାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲେ। ଲବେୀୟ ଦ୍ବାରପାଳଗଣ ମନଃଶି, ଇଫ୍ରଯିମ ଓ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଟଙ୍କା ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରିଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଯିହୁଦା, ବିନ୍ଯାମୀନ ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କଠାରୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ଏହି ଟଙ୍କା ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରିଥିଲେ।

ଯୋଶିୟଯଙ୍କ ପଦାଧିକାରୀମାନେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ, ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିସ୍ତାରପର୍ବ ରେ ବ୍ଯବହାର କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସ୍ବେଚ୍ଛାକୃତ ଉପହାର ଦେଲେ। ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକ ହିଲ୍କିଯ, ଜିଖରିଯ ଓ ୟିହୀଯଲେ ଏହି ପଦାଧିକାରୀମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ଦାଯିତ୍ବ ରେ ଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କୁ 2,600 ମଷେଶାଳକ ଓ ଛାଗ ଓ 300 ବଳଦ ନିସ୍ତାରପର୍ବର ବଳି ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦେଲେ।

ଇଫ୍ରଯିମ, ମନଃଶି, ଇଷାଖର ଓ ସବୂଲୂନ୍ର ଅନକେ ଲୋକ ନିଜକୁ ଯଥାର୍ଥରୂପେ ନିସ୍ତାରପର୍ବ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରି ନ ଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ନିସ୍ତାରପର୍ବକୁ ଯଥାର୍ଥରୂପେ ଯେପରି ମାଶାଙ୍କେ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ନିଯମ ରେ କୁହାୟାଇଥିଲା, ସହେିପରି ପାଳନ କଲେ ନାହିଁ। କିନ୍ତୁ ହିଜକିଯ ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ। ହିଜକିଯ ଏହି ପ୍ରକା ରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ, ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମଙ୍ଗଳକାରୀ ଅଟ।

ବାର୍ତ୍ତାବାହକମାନେ ଇଫ୍ରଯିମ ଓ ମନଃଶି ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ସହରକୁ ଗଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସବୂଲୂନ୍ର ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ମଧ୍ଯ ଗଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଲୋକମାନେ ବାର୍ତ୍ତାବାହକମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅଟ୍ଟହାସ୍ଯ ଓ ବିଦ୍ରୁପ କଲେ।

ହିଲ୍କିଯ ଓ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ସବେକାମାନେ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତୀ ହୁଲ୍ଦାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଗଲେ। ହୁଲ୍ଦା ଶଲ୍ଲୁମଙ୍କ ପତ୍ନୀ ଥିଲେ। ଶଲ୍ଲୁମ୍ ତୋଖତ୍ଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଥିଲେ। ତୋଖତ୍ ହସ୍ରଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଥିଲେ। ଶଲ୍ଲୁମ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ବସ୍ତ୍ରର ତତ୍ତ୍ବାବଧାରକ ଥିଲେ। ହୁଲ୍ଦା ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ମହଲା ରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିଲେ। ହିଲ୍କିଯ ଓ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ସବେକଗଣ ହୁଲ୍ଦାଙ୍କୁ ସମସ୍ତ ଘଟଣା ଜଣାଇଲେ।

ଏହାପରେ ରାଜା ହିଲ୍କିଯ, ଶାଫନ୍ଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଅହୀକାମ୍, ମୀଖାଯଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଅବ୍ଦୋନ, ସଚିବ ଶାଫନ୍ ଓ ଭୃତ୍ଯ ଆସାଯଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ। ରାଜା କହିଲେ,

ଏହାପରେ ଶାଫନ୍ ୟିଏ କି ସାମ୍ପାଦକ, ରାଜା ଯୋଶିୟଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଯାଜକ ହିଲ୍କିଯ ମାେତେ ଏକ ପୁସ୍ତକ ଦଇେଛନ୍ତି। ଏହାପରେ ଶାଫନ୍ ସହେି ପୁସ୍ତକ ପାଠ କରି ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଶୁଣାଇଲେ।
ଦିତୀୟ ବଂଶାବଳୀ 34:14
ଲବେୀୟମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ରେ ଥିବା ଟଙ୍କାକୁ ବାହାର କରୁଥିଲେ। ଆଉ ସହେି ସମୟରେ ହିଲ୍କିଯ ଯାଜକ ମାଶାଙ୍କେ ଦ୍ବାରା ପ୍ରଦତ୍ତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ନିଯମ ପୁସ୍ତକଟି ପାଇଲେ।
ଦିତୀୟ ବଂଶାବଳୀ 31:1
ନିସ୍ତାରପର୍ବର ଉତ୍ସବ ଶଷେ ହେଲା। ନିସ୍ତାରପର୍ବ ନିମନ୍ତେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ଥିବା ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ ଯିହୁଦାର ସହରଗୁଡ଼କୁ ଫରେିଗଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ସମାନେେ ସହେି ସହରଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ଥିବା ପଥରର ମୂର୍ତ୍ତିକୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଧୂଳିସାତ୍ କଲେ। ସହେି ପଥର ମୂର୍ତ୍ତିଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଭଣ୍ଡ ଦବେତାମାନଙ୍କର ପୂଜା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବ୍ଯବହୃତ ହେଉଥିଲା। ସହେି ଲୋକମାନେ ଆଶରୋ ସ୍ତମ୍ଭଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ମଧ୍ଯ କାଟି ପକାଇଲେ। ଆଉ ସମାନେେ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ବିନ୍ଯାମୀନ ରେ ଥିବା ଉଚ୍ଚ ସ୍ଥାନ ଓ ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କରି ଦେଲେ। ଲୋକମାନେ ଇଫ୍ରଯିମ୍ ଓ ମନଃଶିର ସମସ୍ତ ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ସହେି ପ୍ରକାର କଲେ। ଭଣ୍ଡ ଦବେତାର ପୂଜା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ରେ ବ୍ଯବହୃତ ସମସ୍ତ ବସ୍ତୁକୁ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ନ କରିବା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନେ ଏହିପରି କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ନିଜ ସହର ଓ ଗୃହକୁ ଫରେିଗଲେ।

ଏହାପରେ ଲବେୀୟମାନେ ସହେି ବାକ୍ସକୁ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ପଦାଧିକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ନଇଗେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଦେଖିଲେ ଯେ, ସହେି ବାକ୍ସ ଟଙ୍କା ରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହାଇେଥିଲା। ରାଜାଙ୍କ ସଚିବ ଓ ମୁଖ୍ଯ ଯାଜକଙ୍କ ପଦାଧିକାରୀମାନେ ଆସିଲେ ଓ ବାକ୍ସରୁ ଟଙ୍କାତକ କାଢ଼ି ନେଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ସମାନେେ ସହେି ବାକ୍ସରୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ତାହାର ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ରଖି ଦେଲେ। ପ୍ରତିଦିନ ସମାନେେ ଏହିପରି କଲେ ଓ ପ୍ରଚୁର ଟଙ୍କା ଜମା କଲେ।

ପୁଣି ରାଜା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରରୁ ବାଲର, ଆଶରୋମୂର୍ତ୍ତୀର ଓ ସ୍ବର୍ଗସ୍ଥ ସମସ୍ତ ବାହିନୀ ଓ ମିଥ୍ଯା ଦବେତାମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ନିର୍ମିତ ସକଳ ସାମଗ୍ରୀ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିବା ପାଇଁ ହିଲକିଯ ମହାୟାଜକକୁ, ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ଶ୍ ରଣେୀର ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଦ୍ବାରପାଳ ମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଦେଶ କଲେ। ତା'ପରେ ଯୋଶିୟଯ ରାଜା ସେ ସମସ୍ତ ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯକୁ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ବାହା ରେ କିଦ୍ରୋଣ ଉପତ୍ୟକା ରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ କଲେ ଓ ତାହାର ଭସ୍ମ ବୈଥଲକେୁ ନଇଗେଲେ।

ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମହାୟାଜକ ହିଲକିଯ ନିକଟକୁ ୟାଅ, ତାଙ୍କୁ କୁହ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଆନୀତ ଯେଉଁ ମୁଦ୍ରା ଦ୍ବାରପାଳମାନେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରୁଛନ୍ତି, ସେ ମୁଦ୍ରା ଏଣିକି ଆଣ।
