ଶାଉଲ କନୋଯମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ୟାଅ, ଅମାଲକେ ଛାଡି ଗ୍ଭଲିୟାଅ। କାରଣ ମୁ ଅମାଲକେୀଯଙ୍କ ସହ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବାକୁ ଗ୍ଭ ହେଁ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ମିଶର ଛାଡି ଆସିବା ବେଳେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଦୟା ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନ କରିଥିଲ। ତେଣୁ କନେୀଯମାନେ ଅମାଲକେ ପ୍ରତ୍ଯାବର୍ତ୍ତନ କଲେ।
