ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସିଲେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉେଠଇ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ଗୁରୁ, ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ବୁଡିୟିବା।

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅତି କର୍କଶ ଭାବରେ ସମୁଦ୍ରକୁ ଗାଳି ଦବେେ ଏବଂ ସମୁଦ୍ର ଶୁଖିୟିବ। ସେ ନଦୀଗୁଡିକୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ଶୁଖାଇ ଦିଅନ୍ତି। ବାଶନ୍ ଓ କର୍ମିଲ ଶୁଷ୍କ ପଡିବ। ଏବଂ ଲିବା ନୋନର ଫୁଲଗୁଡିକ ମଉଳି ଯିବେ।

ନିଶ୍ଚିତଭାବରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଭୟ କରିବାର କାରଣ ଅଛି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି। ହଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଭୟ ରେ ଥରିବାର କାରଣ ଅଛି। ଆମ୍ଭେ ବାଲୁକାସ୍ତୁପ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲୁ, ଯେପରି ସମୁଦ୍ର ତା'ର ସୀମା ଲଙ୍ଘନ ନ କରିବ। ସମୁଦ୍ର ରେ ଢ଼େଉ ଉେଠ ଏବଂ ଏହାର କୌଣସି କ୍ଷତି କରେ ନାହିଁ। ଏହା ଘାରେ ଗର୍ଜନ କରେ, ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭେ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିଥିବା ସୀମା ଲଙ୍ଘନ କରେ ନାହିଁ।
ଯିଶାଇୟ 50:2
ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆସିଲା ବେଳେ କାହିଁକି କହେି ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ନ ଥିଲ ? ଆମ୍ଭେ ଡ଼ାକିଲା ବେଳେ କହେି ଉତ୍ତର ଦବୋକୁ କାହିଁକି ନ ଥିଲ ? ଆମ୍ଭର ହସ୍ତ କ'ଣ େଛାଟ ଯେ ତାହା ମୁକ୍ତ କରିପାରିବ ନାହିଁ ? କିମ୍ବା ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭର କ'ଣ ପରାକ୍ରମ ନାହିଁ ? ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭର ଆଦେଶ ରେ ସମୁଦ୍ର ଶୁଖିୟାଇପା ରେ ଓ ନଦନଦୀକୁ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତର କରିଦଇେ ପାରୁ। ସେଥି ରେ ଥିବା ମତ୍ସ୍ଯ ଜଳ ଅଭାବରୁ ତୃଷାର୍ତ୍ତ ହାଇେ ମରିଯିବେ ଓ ଦୁର୍ଗନ୍ଧ ହବେ।
ଗୀତସଂହିତା 142:4
ମାରେ ଚତୁଃପାଶର୍ବରେ କୌଣସି ବନ୍ଧୁଙ୍କୁ ପାଉ ନାହିଁ। ମାେତେ କେଉଁଠାକୁ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇବାକୁ ଦୌଡ଼ି ୟିବାକୁ ସ୍ଥାନ ନାହିଁ। କୌଣସି ଲୋକ ମାେତେ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
ଗୀତସଂହିତା 116:3
ମୃତ୍ଯୁର ରଜ୍ଜୁ ଚତୁଃପାଶର୍ବରେ ପ୍ରାଯ ମାେତେ ବାନ୍ଧି ଦଲୋ। କବର ତା'ର ଫାନ୍ଦ ସହିତ ମାରେ ପାଖାପାଖି ହାଇେଥିଲା। ମୁଁ ସଙ୍କଟ ଓ ଦୁଃଖରେ ଥିଲି।

ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆଜ୍ଞା କଲେ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରବଳ ବାଯୁ ଉଠି ଆସିଲା। ଢ଼େଉଗୁଡ଼ିକ ସମୁଦ୍ରର ଦୁଇଗୁଣ ଉପର ଉଚ୍ଚରେ ଆସିଲା।

ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର, ମାେତେ ମାରେ ସମସ୍ତ ବିପଦରୁ ବଞ୍ଚାଅ। ମାରେ ପ୍ରାଣ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଜଳରାଶି ମାଡ଼ି ୟାଇଛି।
