କିନ୍ତୁ ସ୍ବର୍ଗଦୁତ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଜିଖରିୟ! ଭୟ କରନାହିଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଶଣୁଛନ୍ତି। ତୁମ୍ଭର ପତ୍ନୀ ଏଲୀଶାବେଥ ଗୋଟିଏ ପୁତ୍ର ସନ୍ତାନ ଜନ୍ମ କରିବେ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତାହାର ନାମ ଯୋହନ ରଖିବ।
