Jeremiah 38:6
ଏଣୁ ସମାନେେ ଯିରିମିୟଙ୍କୁ ନଇେ ପ୍ରହରୀ ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣସ୍ଥିତ ମଲିଯ ରାଜପୁତ୍ରର କୂପ ରେ ପକାଇ ଦେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ରଜ୍ଜୁ ରେ ଯିରିମିୟଙ୍କୁ କୂପ ମଧ୍ଯକୁ ଓହ୍ଲାଇ ଦେଲେ। ପୁଣି ସହେି କୂପ ରେ ଜଳ ନ ଥିଲା, କବଳେ ପଙ୍କ ଥିଲା। ଯିରିମିୟ ସହେି ପଙ୍କ ରେ ନିମଗ୍ନ ହେଲେ।

ତେଣୁ ସିଦିକିଯ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସା ରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯିରିମିୟଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରହରୀ ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣ ରେ ରଖିଲେ। ପୁଣି ନଗର ରେ ସବୁ ରୋଟୀ ଶଷେ ନ ହବୋ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ରୋଟୀବାଲାଙ୍କ ପଲୀରୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଲଖାଏଁେ ରୋଟୀ ପ୍ରତିଦିନ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲେ। ଏହିପ୍ରକାର ଯିରିମିୟ ପ୍ରହରୀ ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣ ରେ ରହିଲେ।
ଯିରିମିୟ 37:16
ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ଯିରିମିୟ ଗଣାକାର କଠାେରୀ ରେ ବନ୍ଦୀ ହେଲେ ଓ କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର କଠାେରୀ ରେ ଅନକେ ଦିନ ରହିଲେ।

ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜଗୃହ ରେ ଯେତେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେ ସମସ୍ତେ ବାବିଲ ରାଜାର ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଅଣାଯିବେ, ଆଉ ଏହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନେ କହିବେ,
ଗୀତସଂହିତା 69:14
ମାେତେ ପଙ୍କ ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ବଞ୍ଚାଅ। ମାେତେ ପଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବୁଡ଼ିବାକୁ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ। ଯେଉଁମାନେ ମାେତେ ଘୃଣା କରନ୍ତି, ସମାନଙ୍କେଠାରୁ ମାେତେ ରକ୍ଷା କର। ମାେତେ ଏହି ଗଭୀର ପାଣିରୁ ବଂଚାଅ।

ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ମୁଁ ଠିଆ ହାଇେ ପାରିବି ଏପରି କୌଣସି ବସ୍ତୁ ନାହିଁ। ମୁଁ ଗଭୀର ପଙ୍କ ଭିତରକୁ ଭାସି ଯାଉଛି। ମୁଁ ଅଗାଧ ଜଳରେ ଅଛି ଓ ମାରେ ଚତୁଃପାଶର୍ବରେ ଲହଡ଼ି ଭାଙ୍ଗୁଛି। କବଳେ ମୁଁ ବୁଡ଼ିୟିବା ଉପରେ।
ଗୀତସଂହିତା 40:2
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେତେ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଗୁମ୍ଫାରୁ ଉଠାଇଲେ। ସେ ମାେତେ ସହେି ମାଟିର କବର ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ଉଠାଇ ଆଣିଲେ। ସେ ମାେତେ ଟକେି ଧରିଲେ। ମାେତେ, ମାରେ ପାଦ ତଳକୁ ଖସିୟିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଶକ୍ତ ଭୂମିରେ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ।

ତହୁଁ ଏବଦ-ମଲକେ ଆପଣା ସଙ୍ଗେ ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ନଇେ ରାଜଗୃହକୁ ଗଲା ଓ ସଠାେ ରେ ଭଣ୍ଡାର ଘରୁ କେତଗେୁଡ଼ିଏ ପୁରୁଣା ତ୍ଯକ୍ତ ବସ୍ତୁ ଓ ଚିରାକନା ନଲୋ। ଆଉ ରଜ୍ଜୁ ଦ୍ବାରା ସେସବୁ କୂପ ରେ ଯିରିମିୟଙ୍କୁ ଦଲୋ।
ଯିରିମିୟ 36:26
ପୁଣି ରାଜା ବାରୂକ ଲେଖକକୁ ଓ ଯିରିମିୟ ଭବିଷ୍ଯତବକ୍ତାକୁ ଗିରଫ କରିବାକୁ ରାଜପୁତ୍ର ୟିରହମଲକେୁ, ଅସ୍ରୀଯଲରେ ପୁତ୍ର ସରାଯକୁ ଓ ଅବଦିଯଲରେ ପୁତ୍ର ଶଲେିମିଯକୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା କଲେ। ମାତ୍ର ସମାନେେ ବାରୂକ ଓ ଯିରିମିୟକୁ ପାଇଲେ ନାହିଁ କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଲୁଚାଇ ରଖିଥିଲେ।
