ହେ ଯିରିମିୟ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଯିହୁଦାବାସୀଙ୍କୁ ଏସବୁ କଥା ଜଣାଇବ, ସମାନେେ ସେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପଚାରିବେ, 'ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କାହିଁକି ଆମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଏହି ମହା ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ କଥା କହିଅଛନ୍ତି ? ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ କି ଅପରାଧ କରିଅଛୁ ? ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ କି ପାପ କରିଅଛୁ ?

ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗୁଛ, 'ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିରୀହ ଏବଂ ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ଯେ, ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତାଙ୍କର କୋର୍ଧକୁ ଆମଠାରୁ ଦୂ ରଇେ ନବେେ।' ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହିବାକୁ ଦିଅ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଚାର କରିବା କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହୁଛ, 'ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ ଦୋଷୀ।'

ଆଉ ଦେଶୀଯମାନେ ଏହି ନଗର ଦଇେ ଗଲା ବେଳେ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ସଙ୍ଗୀକି ପଚାରିବେ, 'ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କେଉଁଥିପାଇଁ ଏହି ବିଶାଳ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ନଗରକୁ ଏପରି କଲେ ?
