ମିଦିଯନୀଯ ବଣିକମାନେ ଯୋଷଫେକୁ ମିଶର ରେ ବିକ୍ରି କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପୋଟିଫର ନାମକ ଫାରୋର ଅଧିକାରୀ ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ରକ୍ଷକ ସନୋପତିଙ୍କଠା ରେ ଯୋଷଫେକୁ ବିକ୍ରଯ କଲେ।

ସପ୍ତମ ଦିନ ରେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ରାଜା ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ଯୋଗୁଁ ଅତ୍ଯଧିକ ମାତାଲ ହେଲେ, ସେ ମହୂମନ୍, ବିସ୍ଥା ହର୍ବୋଣା, ବିଗଥା, ଅବଗଥ, ସେଥର ଓ କର୍କସଙ୍କୁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ। ଏହି ସାତଜଣ ନଫୁସକ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ରାଜା ଅକ୍ଷଶ୍ବରେଶଙ୍କ ସବୋ କଲେ।

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠା ରେ ଆସକ୍ତ ବିଦେଶୀ ନ କହୁ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେତେ ଆପଣା ଲୋକଠାରୁ ନିଶ୍ଚଯ ପୃଥକ୍ ରଖିବେ। ପୁଣି ଜଣେ ନପୁଂସକ ନ କହୁ ଯେ, ଦେଖ, ମୁଁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଶୁଷ୍କ ବୃକ୍ଷ, ମୁଁ ଫଳବତୀ ହାଇପୋରିବି ନାହିଁ।'
