Ezra 4:4
ତେଣୁ ଏହି ଭୂମିରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ, ସମାନେେ ଯିହୁଦାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମନ୍ଦିର ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ନିରୁତ୍ସାହିତ ଓ ଭୟଭୀତ କଲେ।

ସହେି ଲୋକମାନେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେଶୀଯ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରୁଥିଲେ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ନିକଟରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହା ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଏହା କରିବାରୁ ନିବୃତ୍ତ କରିପାରି ନଥିଲା। ସମାନେେ ସହେି ପୁରୁଣା ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ଆଧାର ଉପରେ ନୂତନ ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସକାଳେ ଓ ସନ୍ଧ୍ଯା ସମୟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ରେ ହାମବେଳି ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ।

ମାତ୍ର ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ପ୍ରାଚୀରର ମରାମତି କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହେଉଅଛି ଓ ଗର୍ତ୍ତଗୁଡିକ ଭର୍ତ୍ତି ହବୋ ପାଇଁ ଯାଉଅଛି, ଏହା ଶୁଣି ସନ୍ବଲ୍ଲଟ୍ ଓ ଟୋବିୟ, ପୁଣି ଆରବୀଯମାନେ ଓ ଅେମ୍ମାନୀୟମାନେ ଓ ଅସ୍ଦୋଦୀଯମାନେ ଅତିଶଯ ରାଗି ଗଲେ।
ନିହିମିୟା 4:11
ପୁଣି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷକ୍ଷମାନେ କହିଲେ, 'ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧିଅରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହାଇେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ବଧ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ବନ୍ଦ କରିବା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ସମାନେେ ଜାଣିବେ ନାହିଁ ଅବା ଦେଖିବେ ନାହିଁ।'
ନିହିମିୟା 6:9
ଏହି ଚିନ୍ତାକରି ସମାନେେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଭୟଭୀତ କଲେ, ସମାନଙ୍କେ ହସ୍ତ ଦୁର୍ବଳ ହବେ ଓ ପ୍ରାଚୀର କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଶଷେ ହବେ ନାହିଁ।
ଯିଶାଇୟ 35:3
ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଦୁର୍ବଳ ହାତକୁ ସବଳ କର ଓ କମିତ ଆଣ୍ଠୁକୁ ସୁସ୍ଥିର କର।
ଯିରିମିୟ 38:4
ତେଣୁ ସହେି ଅଧିପତିଗଣ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅନୁ ରୋଧ କରୁଅଛୁ, ଏହି ଯିରିମିୟକୁ ମୃତ୍ଯୁଦଣ୍ଡ ହେଉ। କାରଣ ସେ ଏହି ନଗରର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଯୋଦ୍ଧାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର କଥା କହି ନିରୁତ୍ସାହିତ କରୁଅଛି। ପୁଣି ସେ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ଚାହୁଁ ନାହିଁ, ବରଂ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ ଚାହୁଁଛି।
