Deuteronomy 27:16
ଲବେୀୟମାନେ କହିବେ, 'ଆପଣା ପିତା ମାତାଙ୍କୁ ୟିଏ ଅବଜ୍ଞା କରେ ଓ ଅସମ୍ମାନ କରେ ସେ ଅଭିଶଲ୍ଗ ହେଉ।'

ତୁମ୍ଭ ମଧିଅରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କୁ ଅବଜ୍ଞା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିବାରୁ ବିଦେଶୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅତ୍ଯାଚାର କଲେ, ଅନାଥ ଓ ବିଧବା ପ୍ରତି ଅନ୍ଯାଯ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।

ଯେ ନିଜର ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କୁ ଅଭିଶାପ ଦିଏ, ସେ ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ହତ ହବେ। ଯେ ହତେୁ ସେ ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କୁ ଅଭିଶାପ ଦଇେଥିଲା, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ମୃତ୍ଯୁଦଣ୍ଡ ରେ ଅପରାଧୀ।
