ଆପଣ ପ୍ରତିମାଟିକୁ ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ କର୍ତ୍ତିତ ହାଇନେଥିବା ଏକ ପ୍ରସ୍ତର ଶୂନ୍ଯ ରେ ଉଡିଆସି ସହେି ପ୍ରତିମାର ଲୌହ ଓ ମୃତ୍ତିକାମଯ ପାଦକୁ ଆଘାତ କରି ଖଣ୍ତ ବିଖଣ୍ତିତ କଲା।

ரோம அதிபதி அவனைப் பார்த்து: நான் அதிக பணம் கொடுத்து இந்த ரோம உரிமையை சம்பாதித்தேன் என்றான். அதற்குப் பவுல்: நானோ ரோமக் குடிமகனாகப் பிறந்தேன் என்றான்.

அதிகாரி, “நான் ரோமக் குடிமகன் ஆவதற்கு மிகுந்த பணம் செலுத்த வேண்டியதா யிற்று” என்றான். ஆனால் பவுல், “நான் பிறப்பால் குடிமகன்” என்றான்.
