Leviticus 14:22
ପୁଣି ସହେି ଦରିଦ୍ର ଲୋକର ପ୍ରାପ୍ତିର ସାଧ୍ଯ ଅନୁସାରେ ଦୁଇଟି କପୋତ କିମ୍ବା ଦୁଇଟି ପାରା ଆଣିବ। ଆଉ ସେଥିରୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ପାପାର୍ଥକ ବଳି ଓ ଅନ୍ୟଟି ହାମବେଳି ହବେ।

ହେ ମାରେ କପୋତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଶୈଳର ଫାଟ ରେ ଗଡ଼ନ୍ତି ସ୍ଥାନର ଅନ୍ତରାଳ ରେ ଅଛ। ମାେତେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ରୂପ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ଦିଅ। ମାେତେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ରବ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ଦିଅ। କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭର ରବ ସୁମିଷ୍ଟ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ରୂପ ମ ନୋହର।
ଯିଶାଇୟ 38:14
ମୁଁ କପୋତ, ଚାତକ ଓ ସାରସ ପକ୍ଷୀପରି ଶବ୍ଦ କଲି। ଉପରକୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି କରି କରି ମାରଚେକ୍ଷୁ କ୍ଲାନ୍ତ ହାଇଗେଲା। ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ମୁଁ ବିପଦଗ୍ରସ୍ତ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କର।'

ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନ୍ଯାଯ ପାଇଁ ଭାଲୁପରି ଗର୍ଜନ କରୁ ଓ କପୋତ କରି ଅତିଶଯ ବିଳାପ କରୁ। ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନ୍ଯାଯକୁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରୁଁ ମାତ୍ର ତାହା ନ ଥାଏ। ପୁଣି ପରିତ୍ରାଣକୁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରୁ ମାତ୍ର ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ଦୂ ରଇେ ଥାଏ।
