ତା'ପରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ନଗର ବାହାରକୁ ଗଲେ ଓ ଅରାମୀଯମାନଙ୍କ ଛାଉଣୀ ରେ ପଶି ସମସ୍ତ ଲୁଣ୍ଠନ କଲେ। ସେଥି ରେ ପ୍ରଚୁର ସାମଗ୍ରୀମାନ ଥିଲା। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ଯାନୁସା ରେ ଏକ ଝୁଡି ସରୁ ମଇଦା ଏକ ଶକେଲ ରେ ଓ ଦୁଇ ଝୁଡି ୟବ ଏକ ଶକେଲ ରେ ବିକ୍ରି କରାଗଲା।

ଦେଖ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଲୁଟିତ ନ ହାଇେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଲୁଟୁଅଛ। ଅନ୍ୟମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ବିଶ୍ବାସଘାତକତା ନ କଲେ ମଧ୍ଯ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ବିଶ୍ବାସଘାତକତା କରୁଅଛ। ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସନ୍ତାପର ପାତ୍ର। କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଲୁଟିବା ସମାପ୍ତ କଲାପ ରେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଲୁଟିବେ। ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ବିଶ୍ବାସଘାତକତା ସମାପ୍ତ କଲାପ ରେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭପ୍ରତି ବିଶ୍ବାସଘାତକତା କରିବେ।

ୟିହୋଶାଫଟ୍ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ମୃତ ଶରୀରଗୁଡ଼ିକ ନିକଟରୁ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ଯ ପଦାର୍ଥସବୁ ଲୁଟି ନବୋକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଅନକେ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ଯ ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯ ପାଇଲେ। ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ସହେି ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ନିଜ ନିମନ୍ତେ ନେଲେ। ସହେି ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ବହନ କରିବାର ସାମର୍ଥ୍ଯଠାରୁ ୟଥେଷ୍ଟ ଅଧିକ ଥିଲା। ମୃତ ଶରୀରଗୁଡ଼ିକ ନିକଟରୁ ସହେି ବହୁମୂଲ୍ଯ ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯଗୁଡ଼ିକ କାଢିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ତିନିଦିନ ଲାଗିଲା, କାରଣ ତାହା ପ୍ରଚୁର ଥିଲା।
