ରାଜା ରିହବିଯାମ୍ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ନିଜକୁ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ କଲେ। ସେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ରାଜା ହେଲେ, ସେତବେେଳେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଏକଚାଳିଶ ବର୍ଷ ବଯସ ହାଇେଥିଲା। ରିହବିଯାମ୍ ସତର ବର୍ଷ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ରାଜା ହାଇେ ରହିଲେ। ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସମସ୍ତ ବଂଶ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ନଗରକୁ ହିଁ ମନୋନୀତ କରିଥିଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ତାଙ୍କର ନାମ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିବାକୁ ମନୋନୀତ କଲେ। ରିହମିଯାମ୍ଙ୍କୁ ମାତା ଥିଲେ ନଯମା। ନଯମା ଅମ୍ମାନେ ଦେଶରୁ ଆସିଥିଲେ।
