ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କର 700 ରାଜପତ୍ନୀ ଥିଲେ। ଏହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେଶର ଅଧ୍ଯକ୍ଷମାନଙ୍କର କନ୍ଯା ଥିଲେ। ଆଉ ତାଙ୍କର 300 ଉପପତ୍ନୀ ଥିଲେ। ତାଙ୍କର ପତ୍ନୀମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ବିପଥଗାମୀ କରାଇଲେ।

ଅବୀମଲକେ ନିଜର ପିତୃଗୃହ ଆଫ୍ରାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଗଲା। ସେ ତା'ର ସତକ୍ସ୍ଟରି ଜଣ ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଠାେରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ପଥର ରେ ହତ୍ଯା କଲା। କିନ୍ତୁ ୟିରକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଦାଲ୍ର କନିଷ୍ଠ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ନିଜକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଲକ୍ସ୍ଟଗ୍ଭଇ ରଖିଲା। ତା'ର ନାମ ଯୋଥମ୍ ଥିଲା।

ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଅନକେ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ହିବ୍ରୋଣ ରେ ଜନ୍ମଲାଭ କଲେ। ତାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଥମ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଥିଲେ ଅମ୍ନୋନ୍, ୟିଷ୍ରିଯଲେୀଯାର ତାଙ୍କର ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଅହୀନୋଯମଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଜନ୍ମ ହେଲ।

ରିହବିଯାମ୍ ତାଙ୍କର ଅଠର ଜଣ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ଷାଠିଏ ଜଣ ଉପପତ୍ନୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ମାଖାଙ୍କୁ ସବୁଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ପ୍ ରମେ କରୁଥିଲେ। ରିହବିଯାମ୍ ଅଠଇେଶ ଜଣ ପୁତ୍ର ଓ ଷାଠିଏ ଜଣ କନ୍ଯାଙ୍କର ପିତା ଥିଲେ।

ମୁଁ ବାରମ୍ବାର ଖାଜେିଲି ଏବଂ ମୁଁ ପାଇଲି ନାହିଁ। ହଜାର ରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ପୁରୁଷ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ କରୁଥିବାର ମୁଁ ପାଇଲି କିନ୍ତୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧିଅରେ, ମୁଁ ଏକ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପାଇଲି ନାହିଁ।
