Lamentations 4:10
ସ୍ନହମେଯୀ ମାଆମାନେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରିଯ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ରାନ୍ଧିଲେ କାରଣ ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କର ଏକମାତ୍ର ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଥିଲେ। ଯେତବେେଳେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ବିନାଶର ସମୟ ଆସିଥିଲା।

Jeremiah 19:9
ଶତ୍ରୁଗଣ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ନଗରକୁ ଅବରୋଧ କରିବେ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ପାଇଁ ବାହାରକୁ ୟିବାକୁ ଦବେେ ନାହିଁ। ତେଣୁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଉପବାସ ରେ ରହିବେ ଓ କ୍ଷୁଧା ରେ ଆତୁର ହାଇେ ସଙ୍କଟ ସମୟରେ ପୁତ୍ର କନ୍ଯାର ମାଂସ ଭୋଜନ କରିବେ। ଆଉ ମଧ୍ଯ ଶଷେ ରେ ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ଭୋଜନ କରିବେ।'

ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏତେ କ୍ଷୁଧିତ ହବେ ଯେ ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ର ଓ କନ୍ଯାମାନଙ୍କର ମାଂସ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ।

ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେ ବହକ୍ସ୍ଟତ ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଃଖ କଷ୍ଟ ଭୋଗ କରିବେ। ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ଚତକ୍ସ୍ଟଃପାଶର୍ବ ରେ ଥିବା ଶତୃମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଦବେେ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଭୋକରେ ରହିବ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏତେ ଭୋକରେ ରହିବ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆପଣା ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ରକନ୍ଯାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଖାଇ ୟିବ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦତ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଶିଶକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଭକ୍ଷଣ କରିବ।

ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନେ ଏପରି କ୍ଷୁଧାର୍ତ୍ତ ହବେ ଯେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ପିତାମାତା ନିଜର ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୋଜନ କରିବେ ଓ ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କୁ ଭୋଜନ କରିବେ। ଏବଂ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଚାର କରିବା ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟାଂଶକୁ ପୃଥିବୀର ଶଷେ ସୀମା ରେ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ କରିବା।
