Judges 2:4
ଯେତବେେଳେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୂତ ଏହିକଥା ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲବାସୀଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ବର ରେ ରୋଦନ କଲେ।

କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛା ଅନୁସାରେ ଯେଉଁ ଦୁଃଖ ଦ୍ବାରା ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ପାଇଲ ଓ ମନ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରିଲ, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ ହବୋ ଆବଶ୍ଯକ ନାହିଁ। ମାତ୍ର ଜାଗତିକ ଦୁଃଖ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଆଣିଥାଏ।
James 4:9
ଦୁଃଖି ହୁଅ, ଦୁଃଖ ପ୍ରକାଶ କର ଓ କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ କର ! ତୁମ୍ଭର ହାସ୍ଯକୁ କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ ରେ ବଦଳାଇ ଦିଅ। ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଫୁଲତାକୁ ଦୁଃଖ ରେ ବଦଳାଅ।
