Jeremiah 48:11
ମାଯାେବ ଜନ୍ମରୁ ଦୁଃଖ କଷ୍ଟ ଜାଣି ନାହିଁ। ମାଯାେବ ଏକ ପାତ୍ରସ୍ଥ ମଦ ତୁଲ୍ଯ ସୁସ୍ଥିର ଅଛି। ସେ ଏକ ପାତ୍ରରୁ ଅନ୍ୟ ପାତ୍ରକୁ ଢ଼ଳା ୟାଇ ନାହିଁ। କିଅବା ସେ ବନ୍ଦୀ ହାଇେ ୟାଇ ନାହିଁ, ଏଣୁ ତା'ର ସ୍ବାଦ ତା' ମଧିଅରେ ଅଛି। ତାହାର ସୁବାସ ବିକୃତ ହାଇେ ନାହିଁ।

Ezekiel 16:49

ସିୟୋନର ଲୋକମାନେ କହିବେ, ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦନିତ୍ସର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିଅଛି, ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିଅଛି। ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶୂନ୍ଯପାତ୍ର ସଦୃଶ କରିଅଛି। ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ନାଗସାପ ସଦୃଶ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିଅଛି। ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସୁଖାଦ୍ୟ ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯ ରେ ସେ ଉଦର ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିଅଛି ଓ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୂରକୁ ଫିଙ୍ଗି ଦଇେଅଛି।

ମାଯାେବ ବଡ଼ ଅହଙ୍କାରୀ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତାହାର ଅହଙ୍କାରର କଥା, ତାହାର ଉଦ୍ଧତ ଭାବ, ତାହାର ଗର୍ବ, ତାହାର ଦର୍ପ ଓ ତାହାର ଚିତ୍ତର ଅହମିକା କଥା ଶୁଣିଅଛୁ।
