Jeremiah 3:9
ଯିହୁଦା ବଖାେତିର କରି ବ୍ଯଭିଚାର କଲା ଓ ଦେଶକୁ 'ଅଶୁଚି' କଲା। ଆଉ ସେ ମଧ୍ଯ କାଠ ଓ ପଥର ସଙ୍ଗେ ବ୍ଯଭିଚାର କଲା।

Jeremiah 3:2
ନିଷ୍ଫଳ ପର୍ବତକୁ ଦେଖ। କେଉଁଠା ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବ୍ଯଭିଚାର କରି ନାହଁ ? ଯେପରି ଜଣେ ଆରବୀଯ ଲୋକ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତର ରେ ବ ସେ, ସହେିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ନିମନ୍ତେ ରାଜପଥରେ ବସିଅଛ। ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଅବିଶ୍ବାସନୀଯତା ଓ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମ ଦ୍ବାରା ଦେଶକୁ 'ଅଶୁଚି' କରିଅଛ।

ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ଉର୍ବର ଦେଶକୁ ଆଣିଲି, ଯେଉଁଠା ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅତି ଉତ୍ତମ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଓ ଫଳ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ। ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲାପ ରେ ମାେ ଦେଶକୁ 'ଅଶୁଚି' ଓ ମାରେବିରୁଦ୍ଧାଚରଣ କର।
Jeremiah 10:8
ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେଶୀଯମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ନିର୍ ବୋଧ ଓ ଅଜ୍ଞାନ। ସମାନଙ୍କେର ମୂର୍ତ୍ତିଗୁଡ଼ିକର ଶିକ୍ଷା ମୂଲ୍ଯହୀନ। ସହେି ମୂର୍ତ୍ତିଗୁଡ଼ିକ କବଳେ କାଷ୍ଠ ମାତ୍ର।

ସମାନେେ ତାକୁ ଧର୍ଷଣ କଲେ, ସମାନେେ ତା'ର ପୁତ୍ର କନ୍ଯାଗଣକୁ ନଇଗେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଖଡ୍ଗ ରେ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। ଏବଂ ସେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ଉପହାସର ବିଷଯ ହେଲା। କାରଣ ଅଶୂରୀଯ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାକୁ ବଦନୋପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦେଲେ।
Hosea 4:12
ଆମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନେ କାଠଖଣ୍ତିକୁ ଉପଦେଶ ଲାଗି ପଗ୍ଭରନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ଭାବନ୍ତି ସହେି କାଠଖଣ୍ତଗୁଡିକ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦବେ। କାରଣ, ସମାନେେ ଗଣିକାମାନଙ୍କପରି ମିଥ୍ଯାପ୍ରତିମାଙ୍କ ପଛ ରେ ଅନୁଧାବନ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ବଳିଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ ଓ ଗଣିକା ହାଇୟୋଇଥିଲେ।
Habakkuk 2:19
ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଧିକ୍, ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ କାଠକୁ କୁ ହେ, ଜାଗ୍ରତ ହୁଅ! ମୂକ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥରକୁ କୁ ହେ ଉଠ! ଏହି ଭଣ୍ତ ଦବେତାମାନେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦଇେ ପାରିବେ କି? ସହେି ମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ସୁନା ଓ ରୂପା ରେ ଆବୃତ ହାଇେ ପାରିବ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ନିର୍ଜୀବ।
