Deuteronomy 20:11
ଯଦି ସମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ଧି ରେ ରାଜି ହାଇେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନଗର ଗକ୍ସ୍ଟଡିକ ପାଇଁ ଦ୍ବାର ଉନ୍ମୁକ୍ତ କରନ୍ତି, ତବେେ ସହେି ସହରର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନେ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ କାମ କରିବାକୁ ବାଧ୍ଯ ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଦାସ ହବେେ।

ସହେି ବ୍ଯକ୍ତିଙ୍କୁ ସେ ରାଜ୍ଯର ନାଗରିକମାନେ ଘୃଣା କରୁଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ସମାନେେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଛ ରେ ଦଳେ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସଠାେକୁ ପଠାଇଲେ। ସଠାେକୁ ଯାଇ ଏହି ଦଳର ଲୋକମାନେ କହିଲେ, 'ଆମ୍ଭେ ଚାହୁଁନା ଯେ, ସହେି ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ରାଜା ହୁଅନ୍ତୁ।'
