କିଣାନୀଯଠାରେ ରହୁଥିବା ଅନ୍ୟ ବିଦେଶୀଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର କହିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନେ ତାଙ୍କ କଥା ମାନିଲେ ନାହିଁ।

ଇଫ୍ରଯିମଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଠିକ୍ ଏହିପରି ଭାବରେ ଘଟିଥିଲା। ଗଷେର ରେ କିଣାନୀଯ ଲୋକମାନେ ବାସ କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ ଏବଂ ଇଫ୍ରଯିମ କିଣାନୀଯ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ତଡି ଦେଲେ ନାହିଁ। ତେଣୁ ଇଫ୍ରଯିମ କିଣାନୀଯମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମିଶି ରହିବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଲାଗିଲେ।
