2 Kings 23:25
ଯୋଶିୟଯ ଯେପରି ସର୍ବାନ୍ତଃକରଣ ରେ, ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଣ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଶକ୍ତି ଦ୍ବାରା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅନୁରକ୍ତ ହେଲେ। ଯୋଶିୟଯଙ୍କ ପରି ମାଶାଙ୍କେ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ପାଳନ କରିବାର କୌଣସି ରାଜା ନଥିଲେ। ଏପରି କୌଣସି ରାଜା ତାଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ନଥିଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ପରେ କହେି ସପରେି ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ।

ଏଥି ରେ ରାଜା ସ୍ତମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଠିଆ ହେଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଗୋଟିଏ ୟୁକ୍ତି କଲେ ଏବଂ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁକରଣ କରିବାକୁ ତାଙ୍କର ଆଜ୍ଞାମାନ, ସାକ୍ଷକଥା ଓ ନିଯମମାନ ତାଙ୍କ ସମସ୍ତ ହୃଦଯ ଓ ମନ ସହିତ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କଲେ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଲୋକ ଏହା କରିବାକୁ ରାଜି ହେଲେ।

ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଏହି ନିଯମ ପାଳନ କରିବ, ତବେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେ ବିଷଯ ରେ ଯାହା ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଛନ୍ତି ତାହା ନିଶ୍ଚଯ ହବେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଥିଲେ, 'ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭର ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ ସମସ୍ତ ମନ ଓ ପ୍ରାଣ ସହିତ ମୁଁ ଦଇେଥିବା ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସା ରେ ଜୀବନ ଧାରଣ କରିବେ, ତବେେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସିଂହାସନ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବଂଶରୁ ବସିବ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କର ଏହି ବାକ୍ଯ ପୂରଣ କରିବେ।'
