2 Corinthians 4:18
ଆମ୍ଭର ଆଖି ଦୃଶ୍ଯ ବିଷୟଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଉପରେ ନ ରହି, ଅଦୃଶ୍ଯ ବିଷୟ ଉପରେ କନ୍େଦ୍ରୀଭୂତ ହେଉ। କାରଣ ଯାହା ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଦଖାେ ଯାଉଛି, ତାହା ଅସ୍ଥାଯୀ, ଓ ଯାହା ଅଦୃଶ୍ଯ, ତାହା ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଚିରସ୍ଥାଯୀ।

ସହେି ସମସ୍ତ ମହାନ ଲୋକ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ନିଜର ବିଶ୍ବାସ ସହିତ ଜୀବିତ ରହିଲେ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ନିଜ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଥିବା ବସ୍ତୁମାନ ସହେି ଲୋକମାନେ ପାଇଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସମାନେେ ଖାଲି ଦେଖିଲେ ଯେ, ସହେି ବିଷୟଗୁଡ଼ିକ ସୁଦୂର ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ ରେ ଆସିବ, ଓ ସମାନେେ ( ସତେିକି ରେ) ଖୁସି ହେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରି ନେଲେ ଯେ ସମାନେେ ଏହି ପୃଥିବୀ ରେ ଯାତ୍ରୀ ଓ ଅପରିଚିତ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଅଟନ୍ତି।

ପୁତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ଅନନ୍ତ ଜୀବନ ଦବେେ ବୋଲି ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଛନ୍ତି।

ସେ ପାପର କ୍ଷଣକ ସୁଖଭୋଗ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଚାହିଁଲେ ନାହିଁ। ତା' ପରିବର୍ତେ ସେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହ୍ଯ ହେଉଥିବା ଦୁର୍ବ୍ଯବହାର ସହିବା ପସନ୍ଦ କଲେ। ନିଜର ବିଶ୍ବାସ ହତେୁ ସେ ଏପରି କଲେ।

ଆମ୍ଭେ ସର୍ବଦା ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଉଦାହରଣ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବା ଉଚିତ। ଆମ୍ଭ ବିଶ୍ବାସର ନେତା ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଅଟନ୍ତି। ସେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ବାସକୁ ସିଦ୍ଧ କରନ୍ତି। ସେ କୃଶ ଉପରେ ମୃତ୍ଯୁର ଯାତନା ଭୋଗିଛନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ କୃଶର ଲଜ୍ଜାକୁ ଏକ ଅର୍ଥହୀନ ବିଷୟ ବୋଲି ମନେ କରି ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତାହାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଯେଉଁ ଆନନ୍ଦର ଲକ୍ଷ୍ଯ ରଖିଥିଲେ, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ସେ ତାହା କଲେ। ଏବେ ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସିଂହାସନର ଡାହାଣ ରେ ବସିଛନ୍ତି।
