2 Chronicles 24:21
କିନ୍ତୁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଜିଖରିଯଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା କଲେ । ଜିଖରିଯଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ରାଜା ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ, ତେଣୁ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ହବୋ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କ ଆଡ଼କୁ ପଥର ଫୋପାଡ଼ିଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ମନ୍ଦିର ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣ ମଧିଅରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଏହା କଲେ।

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ସମାନେେ ମାେ ବିପକ୍ଷ ରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ଦଖାଇବୋ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ମୁଁ ଏକ ନିରୀହ ମଷେଶାବକ ପରି ହତ୍ଯା ପାଇଁ ରହିଥିଲି। ସମାନେେ ମାେ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ମୁଁ ଜାଣି ନଥିଲି। ସମାନେେ ମାେ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ କୁମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା କରି କହିଲେ, ଆସ ଫଳ ସହିତ ବୃକ୍ଷକୁ କାଟି ନଷ୍ଟ କରିବା। ଲୋକେ ଯେପରି ତାଙ୍କୁ ଆଉ ସ୍ମରଣ ନ କରିବେ ସେଥିପାଇଁ ତାଙ୍କୁ କାଟି ପକାଇବା।
Jeremiah 18:18
ଯିରିମିୟଙ୍କ ଶତ୍ରୁଗଣ କହିଲେ, ଆସ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯିରିମିୟଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଯୋଜନା କରିବା, କାରଣ ଯାଜକ ନିକଟରୁ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା, ଶିକ୍ଷିତ ନିକଟରୁ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଅଥବା ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ ବକ୍ତା ନିକଟରୁ ବାକ୍ଯ ଲୁପ୍ତ ହବେ ନାହିଁ। ତେଣୁ ଆସ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରବଞ୍ଚନା ଦ୍ବାରା ଧ୍ବଂସ କରିବା। ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କର କୌଣସି କଥା ଶୁଣିବା ନାହିଁ।
Jeremiah 38:4
ତେଣୁ ସହେି ଅଧିପତିଗଣ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅନୁ ରୋଧ କରୁଅଛୁ, ଏହି ଯିରିମିୟକୁ ମୃତ୍ଯୁଦଣ୍ଡ ହେଉ। କାରଣ ସେ ଏହି ନଗରର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଯୋଦ୍ଧାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର କଥା କହି ନିରୁତ୍ସାହିତ କରୁଅଛି। ପୁଣି ସେ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ଚାହୁଁ ନାହିଁ, ବରଂ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ ଚାହୁଁଛି।

କିନ୍ତୁ କୃଷକମାନେ ଚ଼ାକରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧରି, ତାହାଙ୍କ ଭିତରୁ ଜଣକୁ ପିଟିଲେ. ସମାନେେ ଜଣକ ପରେ ଜଣେ ଚ଼ାକରକୁ ପଥର ରେ ମାରି ମାରି ମାରିପକାଇଲେ।

ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଏହା କରୁଛି: ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନଙ୍କ ଜ୍ଞାନୀଲୋକ ଓ ଗୁରୁମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ପଠାଉଛି। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ କେତକଙ୍କେୁ ମାରିବ, କୃଶ ରେ ଚ଼ଢ଼ାଇ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେତକଙ୍କେୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବ। ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମାଜ ଗୃହ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେତକଙ୍କେୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବ। ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମାଜଗୃହ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେତକଙ୍କେୁ କୋରଡ଼ା ମାରିବ। ସହରରୁ ସହର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପେଛ ପେଛ ଯାଇ କେତକଙ୍କେୁ ତାଡ଼ନା କରିବ।
