ଆହାବ୍ ମଧ୍ଯ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରେ କୁକର୍ମ କଲେ। ସେ ତାଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଅନ୍ୟ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ଦୁଷ୍ଟାଚରଣ କଲେ।

ଆହାବ୍ ନିଜର ପତ୍ନୀ ଈଷବଲେ ଦ୍ବାରା ପ୍ରବର୍ତ୍ତିତ ହାଇେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଯେତେ ମନ୍ଦକର୍ମ କଲେ, ସପରେି ଆଉ କହେି କରି ନଥିଲେ।

ନବାଟଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ୟାରବିଯାମଙ୍କ ପରି ପାପ କରିବା ତାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ୟଥେଷ୍ଟ ନଥିଲା। ସେ ସୀଦୋନର ରାଜା ଇତ୍ବାଲଙ୍କର କନ୍ଯା ଈଷବଲକେୁ ବିବାହ କଲେ ଓ ସୀଦୋନର ବାଲ ଦବେତାଙ୍କୁ ପୂଜା କରିବାକୁ ଓ ସବୋ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ।

ଆହାବ୍ ଉପାସନା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆଶରୋ ସ୍ତମ୍ଭ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ, ସେ ତାଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ପାପ କରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ବିରକ୍ତି କଲେ।
2 Kings 3:2
ସେ ଏପରି କୁକର୍ମ କଲେ, ଯାହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରେ ମନ୍ଦକାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଥିଲା। ମାତ୍ର ସେ ତାଙ୍କର ପିତା ଓ ମାତାଙ୍କ ତୁଲ୍ଯ ନଥିଲେ। କାରଣ ତାଙ୍କ ପିତା ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଥିବା ବାଲ୍ର ସ୍ତମ୍ଭଗୁଡିକୁ ଦୂର କରି ଦେଲେ।
